Betty Davis has been credited with saying that “getting old ain’t for sissies!” As we age, physical and cognitive changes can present challenges that we are asked to confront and adapt to, in ourselves and in the people we love. But, we do not need to do this in isolation. TBE is our place to meet, to learn, to share and to offer support to one another at all moments of life’s transitions, so that we may continue to live our lives fully with dignity and acceptance.

Caring Connections and The Deanna and Sidney Wolk Center for Memory Health at Hebrew Senior Life will host three programs to continue the conversation about how we can best support our family and friends whose lives have been affected by cognitive change.

Learn about senior living, health care, and community resources to help you or a loved ones maximize physical wellness, social stimulation, and personal fulfillment at every age. Topics will include how to know when to make a change, financial considerations, and making decisions as a family.

As New Resident Advisor at NewBridge, David Raider provides support and guidance to seniors contemplating a move to a life plan community like NewBridge. Prior to his new role David oversaw the community life department, which is responsible for building community in the areas of programming, fitness, member services, and spiritual life. Having come to NewBridge on the Charles in 2009, David has more than 20 years of experience in the senior living industry, both in sales and marketing positions and as a regional director of the activity programs at over 40 assisted living communities in the Northeast. Prior to that, he worked in corporate team development for a company that specialized in experiential learning.

Each course in this sequence is stand-alone, meaning you can attend as many or as few as you prefer! Feel free to join us for any session that interests you. If you have any questions about participating, please contact the program leader.
