CANCELED TONIGHT – The Art of Prayer: Prayers for Israel (In Person)

THIS CLASSED IS CANCELED FOR TONIGHT. TONIGHT’S TOPIC, PRAYERS FOR ISRAEL, WILL BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 6th.

In light of the current situation in Israel, the first session of this five-part series exploring liturgy through art will have a special lens on prayers for Israel, providing an open space to read and interpret prayers the Jewish people have offered in support of Am Yisrael. Throughout this and each following session of this class, participants will explore the text and meaning of our liturgy through the spiritual practice of artmaking. Participants will study each text, interpret meaning, and create artwork inspired by each prayer.

No prior artistic experience necessary. While all work created will focus on process and not product, participants will be encouraged to share their work with our community should they feel comfortable doing so.
