Mincha Ma’ariv Service (Hybrid)

Our Mincha Ma’ariv service includes the celebration of the B’Mitzvah of Alexandra Lief.

About Aly
My name is Aly Lief, I’m 12 years old, and I’m very excited to become a bat mitzvah. I am a seventh grader at Dedham Country Day School and my favorite subject is history. When I’m not in school or doing homework I love hanging out with friends or playing sports. I enjoy soccer, skiing, basketball, flag football, and softball. I’ve been skiing since I was really little and now I race for the Loon Race Team in Lincoln, NH. It’s my home away from home. However, basketball and soccer are not far behind on my favorite list!

I live in Wellesley with my parents and have an older sister Sienna, who is 15,  and two dogs, Maier and Bailey. Both of my dogs are Bernedoodles, but one is still a bit of a puppy. My grandparents and aunt are local so we get to see them often which is also nice.

While becoming bat mitzvah has been hard work, it has also been meaningful work. For my bat mitzvah project, I made desserts for the women of the Pine Street Inn and served to-go dinners. This was a fitting project, as I’ve been volunteering at the Dedham Food Pantry and with JFCS delivering groceries to families in the area. I look forward to continuing to make a difference in my community.
