Calling all connoisseurs of high cuisine to join the Racial Justice Initiative for an evening of Caribbean fare brought to you by Fresh Food Generation (FFG) in recognition of Black History Month. Congregants testify to the mouth-watering dinners of Jerk Chicken, Local Salmon, Curried Lamb or Beef Brisket (among other entrees), accompanied by savory sides including Coconut Rice, Balsamic Cauliflower or Red Bean Stew…and so much more! Cleanse your palate with wines from the Urban Grape. Pick up your pre-ordered dinner at TBE at 5:00 pm, then join us on Zoom at 6:30 pm for a discussion with Cassandria Campbell, co-founder of FFG, and Jen Faigel, Executive Director of Commonwealth Kitchen—both partners of RJI and TBE!

Cassandria Campbell will share not only her personal story of her journey from caterer to food truck operator to restaurant owner but also how she led a small Black business’s effort to feed the communities of Dorchester, Roxbury, and Mattapan throughout this pandemic. Jen Faigel, Executive Director of Commonwealth Kitchen, is a winner of the prestigious “Best in Boston 2021 Community Catalyst” award. Through her commitment to emerging food entrepreneurs, Jen is recognized as one of Boston’s chief supporters of Black-owned enterprises.
