Community Viewing of “The Busing Battleground” (In Person)

This year is the 50th Anniversary of the Desegregation of Boston Public Schools and Judge Garrity’s 1974 order to integrate the schools by busing students. Join us for a community viewing of the PBS documentary film, The Busing Battleground, which details the decades-long struggles for educational equity. The film may also be viewed at your leisure here. Then, join us at the RJI Quarterly meeting on March 14 to hear eyewitness testimonials from Phyllis Ellison-Feaster (student) and Ira Jackson (Mayor White’s Chief of Staff).

Registration: This event is available in person. To join us, please click the purple bar above to register.

This event is sponsored by TBE’s Racial Justice Initiative, which works to increase our understanding and activism to address ongoing discrimination and inequality.
