Designed to reflect and honor the passion, dedication, beauty, and diversity of our community, this artwork, designed by Napa Valley artist Godron Huether, incorporates both old and new materials in an engaging and poignant fashion. Demonstrating our respect for TBE history, the artist repurposed meaningful elements from our former building, including the steel menorah that adorned the front of the building as well as the brass mesh ark curtain from the sanctuary. Reflecting the strength and diversity of our community, the artist placed the donor name-etched dichroic glass panels within a sturdy foundation of weather-patinated metal boxes of varying heights and dimensions. By creating a work of art well rooted in our past and reflective and celebratory of our present, we hope to enliven our future. The intended message is that everything has value and that we do not waste or discard; instead we reinvent and carry forward with a renewed vision and purpose. The past is respectfully folded into the present and brought forward into our future.

We are very proud that 95% of our members participated in the Community’s Campaign to build our new home. Our Donor Recognition wall honors the entire community’s effort, each person from child to adult, each donation large or small, in equal measure.
