When our building committee and architects toured Israel for inspiration, the Israel experience produced concrete ideas that the Rawn team translated beautifully into a design that connects us in New England with moods and experiences from Israel. The Jerusalem stone on the face of the new building and the wall enclosing the courtyard are an explicit connection with the stones of Israel. They found that the warmth and beauty of Jerusalem stone permeated the entire country and gave the buildings a sense of permanence, which they wanted to recreate here.
