During this time, I have attended TBE Friday night services on a more regular basis, although still not quite as much as I would like. By attending services, it’s a connection with other TBE members, some friends and some new faces. It’s a special connection to be part of a community, and especially to be part of a religious community.
I have also reached out to others, both friends and family, by actually visiting neighbors (socially distanced), done Zoom meetings, and sent emails to friends and family to check on them.
The way in which I’ve reached out to people that I didn’t know before was through participating in webinars, Zoom memorial services, and sending postcards to encourage voters to register, and then to vote. This has been very effective as well as rewarding.
