First and foremost, our children have organized Zoom get-togethers to celebrate holidays and birthdays, especially during the time we could not get together, even outdoors. I took out a paid membership in Zoom, a very good investment. It has allowed me to have Zoom dinners with present neighbors, reaching out to new people in our retirement community or people who are alone. I also organized a Zoom Reunion of Neighbors from many years ago when we were bringing up kids. It was such a success, we have decided to continue to meet every few months on Zoom. I have joined discussions of Zoom talks in Poland to keep up on developments in a country where my husband and I have spent a lot of time. I have attended TBE Services in the evening, whereas I would not have wanted to drive at night. I have attended talks in the Boston area that I might not have wanted to drive to. In addition, my children have organized Zoom get-togethers to celebrate holidays and birthdays. It has not been all bad.
