Chanukah is a wintertime festival of lights and celebration meant to bring community and family members together. What a better way to do that than putting on a fun run and celebrating Chanukah at TBE. Another bonus is that you get to see me running around dressed up like a life-sized dreidel! This is the third running of the Dreidel Dash 5k. Working alongside the amazing group of volunteers to put this event together has been extremely rewarding for me, especially witnessing the turnout and excitement grow each year. Unfortunately last year we took a break due to the ongoing pandemic. We can’t wait to bring the race back this year! The community needs it more than ever! All funds raised from the Dreidel Dash 5k support the TBE Youth Engagement Fund. My two daughters, Emma and Ava, as well as many of their friends, have participated in Jewish immersive experiences with TBE, including overnight camp, NFTY events and trips to Israel. All funds raised from the Dreidel Dash 5K will help support members to participate in such programming. These experiences have not only enriched my family, but provided many lasting memories and friendships. My hope is that other families can benefit from the same experience. Come to TBE on December 5th to run, volunteer, celebrate, or do all three.
