Historical Perspective: The Nazi Fascist State (In Person)
Hitler and the Nazi Party were voted into power in early 1930s Germany. Though German democracy was certainly wobbly when that happened, its complete collapse and replacement a few years later with a fascist totalitarian state was by no means certain. So how did it happen? And, perhaps even more interestingly, when can we say that the transformation was complete (if ever)? And what role did antisemitism (genocidal or otherwise) play in the Nazi creation of that authoritarian state? Join us on our four-class journey into this critical moment in history with phenomenal educator Yoni Kadden.
