Joy
Family staying healthy and maintaining ongoing contact. Sometimes via facetime and sometimes with visits. The younger grandsons spent almost 6 weeks with us this summer. Their summer camps were canceled and we became the replacement
Both daughters are involved with careers which they truly enjoy related to Judaism- one as a teacher in a “special” day school, the other as Northeast coordinator for Ben Gurion U (AABGU)
Husband turned 80 and can still outride most younger people on his bicycle; OVER committed to the community in the Arts world
Challenges
I have found that my body is deteriorating: legs have developed cramps and do not respond to PT; number of prescriptive medicines has increased- all of which means physical activity is severely limited- Age is a BIG factor as are cancer and corrective surgeries.
Reflections and thoughts over this past year
Much thinking about the wisdom and practicality of living in this tormented time has occupied my time. A big question for me- is Earth going to survive the turmoil, the droughts, the negative events that seem to be prevalent and unending today? Not positive and no answers can be found for me.
