I can learn patience. Never a strong spot for me, this time I have been truly tested. Not knowing what to expect has always put me on edge. Since this is an unusual time, I can’t even speculate on possibilities. Unusually also, I have found talking with my adult children has been very helpful. They see events in a different way at the moment, and also a more relaxed way, even though the impact of this event falls harder on them. I am trying to use them as a sounding board more frequently without being a burden. Since this puts me in a different relationship with them and also provides me with a different generational point of view, I think I may have found a very useful path.
