The essential “me” has remained consistent but I have become more consciously deliberate in thinking about how I want to be/act during these trying times. I think about wanting to maintain gratitude and perspective. I remind myself that even though I may feel low at times, I also know that these feelings are transient. I know myself well enough to feel assured that I am, by nature, an optimistic person and feel solid in knowing that good and loving people are in my life. I know I am lucky.
