TBE’s Community Voice

I feel comparatively fortunate these past several months. I had been, and have continued to work remotely, part-time, for my law colleague in NYC, so that routine did not change. But the work coming in has slowed considerably, so that has been a challenge and a worry. Working remotely from home has always been somewhat isolating, but the current crisis has only magnified that feeling. Like others, I worry about the health and welfare of my children and grandchildren. Having “bring your own” distanced picnics with friends and family have brought much joy. And recently having created a “pod” with my local daughter’s family in order to help out with the kids’ remote learning while the parents worked, the greatest joy was actually hugging them all for the first time in 6 months and sharing Rosh Hashana dinner all together inside!
