Women and Art: Ancient to Modern (In Person)

  • Thursday, November 13, 2025
  • 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM
  • Join us in person
  • Program Leader: Ivy Cubell

In this six-week course, we will explore the representation and contributions of women in visual arts throughout history through a lens of compassion, courage, and community. Through visual analysis, lecture, and thoughtful discussion, we will reflect on how the portrayal of women in art reveals the values, traditions, and mores of diverse cultures. Together, we will honor the wisdom and resilience of women artists—both as creators and as subjects—and examine the barriers they faced with hope and understanding. Join us as we learn, listen, and find connection through the powerful legacy of women in art.

Dates: October 9, 16, 23, 30 November 6 & 13

This course follows a sequential structure, but anyone is welcome to join at any point, or to drop in to any class. If you have questions regarding participation, please contact the program leader.
