Described by the New York Times as “a pageant of love and antisemitism,” Parade: The Musical tells the story of Leo and Lucille Frank, a transplanted New York Jewish couple struggling to make a life in Marietta, GA. In 1913, Leo was wrongly accused and convicted of murdering his 13-year old employee. Although the Governor subsequently commuted his death sentence, an unruly mob stormed his prison cell and lynched him. Leo Frank became the only known Jew lynched in American history.
