The Practice of Living an Ethical Life: Tikkun Middot

  • Wednesday, January 15
  • 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
  • Program Leader: Alison Kur and Firkins Reed

We strive to live a loving life. We want to be wiser and more responsive instead of triggered and reactive. Tikkun Middot is a practice of cultivating desirable middot, or qualities, such as generosity, patience, trust and courage. Grounded in traditional Jewish teachings and contemporary Jewish mindfulness practices, these qualities guide us towards personal transformation. Using text study, mindfulness practices, 1:1 check-ins and group discussion, we will work to bring greater awareness to how we practice certain middot in our lives and develop new ways to compassionately use these middot.

Dates: Nov 13, Dec 11, Jan 15 & 29, Feb 12, Mar 4 & 18, Apr 1 & 22, May 6 & 20
