The Winter Walk to End Homelessness
- Sunday, February 7
- 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Fee: $100
The Winter Walk is a campaign to raise funds to help the homeless in the Boston area. As a recent Boston Globe editorial reported “The crisis of homelessness is often invisible to those not directly experiencing it….on average there are 3,766 families who find themselves homeless every night in Massachusetts, amounting to about 18,000 homeless.” With the pandemic ongoing, this number will only increase to new heights of misery. This year the walk will hopefully be its traditional live event, walking with the homeless in Boston Common, AND a virtual event.Co-sponsored by the Racial Justice Initiative at TBE.
All ages are invited! A great family event!
Join Team Temple Beth Elohim when registering (Click here, select “join a team,” and search Temple Beth Elohim when signing up!) Participants are asked to give or fundraise $100 each (or more if you want to fundraise!).
TBE’s Racial Justice Initiative seeks to increase our understanding and activism to address ongoing discrimination and inequality.
