Teen Tours Presents: 11th & 12th grade Jewish Heritage Trip (In Person)

  • Thursday, January 16, 2025 - Monday, January 20
  • All Day Event
  • Program Leader: Rabbi Ben Rosen and Ali Klein

On this trip we will be exploring Jewish life and history in the South. Our travels will take us to two cities, both home to two of the oldest congregations in the United States—Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia. We’ll explore why Charleston considers itself to be the birthplace of Reform Judaism, immerse ourselves in the rich Sephardic tradition of Colonial Jewry, and wrestle with the complicated history of Jews, the Confederacy, and slavery. And of course, we will be eating lots of amazing biscuits and fried chicken! This trip will take place January 16–20, 2025.

Registration: This event is available in person. Please contact the organizers to RSVP or if you have questions. This trip is for 11th and 12th graders only.
