  • Program Leader: Rabbi Bob Orkand

Venerated for millennia by three faiths, torn by irreconcilable conflict, conquered, rebuilt, and mourned for again and again, Jerusalem is a sacred city whose very sacredness has engendered terrible tragedy. This course will explore how this small, out-of-the-way place became one of history’s most revered–and contested–cities. This is a continuation of Rabbi Orkand’s history classes. Participation in his past classes is not necessary to participate in this series.

Dates & Time: Tuesdays, April 18 & 25, May 16, 23 & 30, June 6
