How can we best think about our collective Jewish story and share our story in a challenging time? How can we discuss our story with children and grandchildren when we see the story differently from one another? Join difficult conversations facilitation expert Dr. Jonathan Golden to explore the connections between our personal and collective stories. We will explore the pedagogies of storytelling through Israeli music, the Heart-Head-Hand paradigm, and the questions that participants raise. Participants will gain practical frameworks and skills that they can use to both listen with empathy and share their perspective with clarity.
Dr. Jonathan Golden is the founder of HeartStance Education Consulting. From 1999 to 2023, he taught at Gann Academy, a pluralistic Jewish high school in Waltham, MA and served as a history teacher and the school’s Israel Curriculum Coordinator. He teaches at Hebrew College and for the Shalom Hartman Institute. He is also a fellow at the Center for Jewish Peoplehood Education.
