About Jack
Hello Temple Beth Elohim,
My name is Jack Washkowitz. I love playing sports. It’s my favorite thing to do. I’ve been playing hockey since I was 3 years old, and it’s a huge part of my life. I also play competitive baseball. In my free time, I enjoy playing all other pick-up sports with my friends.

I live in Natick with my mom, dad, sister Ella, and our dog, Bauer. I go to Kennedy Middle School, and my favorite subject is math. It’s challenging and I enjoy learning new stuff.

Becoming a bar mitzvah is really special to me. It’s cool to think about all the people in the Jewish community and my family who have done this before me. As I get ready for my bar mitzvah, I’ve realized how important it is to help others. Volunteering at organizations like Cradles to Crayons helped me gain perspective on the challenges that many face. In addition, I found a hockey organization that helps disabled players get to enjoy the same sport that I love. I made a commitment to make a donation once a year to this organization as long as I am playing hockey.
