About Tatum
Hello everyone. My name is Tatum Barber and my favorite sport to play is field hockey. I play for Wizards Field Hockey Club, as well as for my school team. Another activity I like to do in my free time is hang out with my friends. I love to play sports, bake, and have sleepovers with my friends.
I live with my sister, brother, mom, dad, and dog. I have two older siblings, Bridget and Connor. I also have a Westie named Poppy! Despite being 4 years old, she looks like a puppy!
I attend Buckingham Browne and Nichols School in Cambridge. I am in the 7th grade. My top 3 favorite subjects at school have to be history, English, or math. They are my favorites simply because I have good teachers and a great group of friends in these classes.
Becoming a bat mitzvah makes me feel more responsible and proud to be an adult in the
Jewish community. For my volunteering project, I worked with both Belmont S.P.O.R.T. and baked for the Friday Cafe at the First Church of Cambridge. At Belmont S.P.O.R.T, I volunteered as a basketball coach, helping children who may not have this opportunity otherwise. I had such a fun time working with kids doing an activity I love: sports. My other volunteering project was baking cakes for a weekly meal program that serves unhoused and low income people in my community. I love to bake, so doing this made me happy that I could provide a home cooked meal and comfort to guests who may be experiencing a tough time.
