Shabbat Morning Service (Hybrid)

Our Shabbat morning service includes the celebration of the B’Mitzvah of Romy Seidman.

About Romy
Dear TBE Community,
I’m Romy Seidman, an incoming 8th grader at Beaver Country Day School. My favorite subjects at school are Art and Spanish, and I play on my school’s field hockey team. Nothing makes me happier than playing field hockey with my friends, and I’m excited to get back out on the field when school starts this fall!

This past winter, my friend Maggie and I organized a service project to help the residents of Hebrew Senior Life. We designed and had students at Beaver’s middle school build centerpieces to display on the tables at HSL. The staff at HSL told us that the centerpieces really cheered up the residents there during a time when they were feeling isolated. I loved working on this project, and hope to get more involved with HSL this upcoming school year.
I just returned from my fourth summer at Camp Young Judaea (YJ) in Amherst, New Hampshire. YJ is a really important place for my family, because my dad, aunt, and lots of cousins have gone to camp there for the past five decades, and now my brother and I are carrying on the family tradition. I feel really lucky to be surrounded by my best friends when I’m at camp, and look forward to my summers there all year long.
I live in Wellesley with my mom Lorin, dad Jeremy, brother Asher and our one-year-old Portuguese Water Dog named Iggy. Iggy brings so much fun and happiness to our family, and I am pretty sure I’m his favorite person.
