About Ellen

Hello Temple Beth Elohim! My name is Ellen Robbins and my absolute favorite activity is soccer. I love playing it and having fun with my friends. I play for my school team at The Park School in Brookline and I play club soccer with Surf. My favorite subject at school is English, but I like all of my classes.

I am the oldest of four siblings – I have two younger brothers named Alex and Jacob who are eleven and nine. I also have a younger sister named Lily who is six and a half. Being the oldest is so fun because I get to be a role model for them. I love being the oldest of a lot of siblings! I have a dog named Callie who is a really energetic and fluffy bernedoodle.

For my Bat Mitzvah project, I have collected donations for baskets to be donated to the Newton Food Pantry. Each basket has a lot of essentials of everyday life and it is important to me to give back to the community. There are 25 baskets, along with some extra donation money that I will give to the Newton Food Pantry.  Becoming a Bat Mitzvah to me means becoming an adult of the Jewish Community and setting an example for the younger kids.

About Zoe

Hello TBE people reading this, my name is Zoe Spector. I constantly find myself on the softball field playing with my team, the Newton Panthers. I am obsessed with catching and just spending time with my teammates doing something all of us love. Other things that I like to do are skiing, snowboarding, playing basketball, cooking  and baking. I am a 7th grader at Brown Middle School. My favorite class is English because I have a lot of freedom with what I write. My family is so important to me so let me introduce them to you. My brother Jacob is 14 and my parents, Kevin and Lisa are a bit older.

Becoming a Bat Mitzvah has taught me how to put in hard work for a positive outcome. For my service project I am donating 25 baskets of food and other personal necessities to the Newton Food Pantry. I am donating to a place local to me to assist people in my community so I can see the results first hand.I can’t wait to celebrate with everyone soon!
