RJI Quarterly: The Federal Criminal Justice System From Multiple Angles & Community Chanukah Candle Lighting (Hybrid)

We begin the evening together lighting the Chanukah candles in community. View the Chanukah Blessings. Following candle lighting, learn about the Federal Criminal Justice System.

Come hear an insider’s perspective when TBE member Josh Levy shares his reflections on his career trajectory and how it influenced him to take on the work of his new position as Acting US Attorney for the District of Massachusetts. At Racial Justice Initiative’s (RJI) December 14th Quarterly meeting, Josh will share his 30 years of legal experience as a partner with the global law firm Ropes & Gray, his first stint with the Department of Justice as an Assistant US Attorney, and then his return in to the DOJ in January 2022, and appointment in May 2023 as the Acting US Attorney. The priorities of the US Attorney’s Office are aligned with those of the RJI and include Civil Rights, Project Safe Neighborhood, and Health Care fraud, among other issues. His leadership as co-chair of his law firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee as well as his pro-bono work for not-for-profit organizations also reflect areas of interest and concern shared by RJI and our prominent guest speaker!
