Racial Justice Quarterly Meeting (Hybrid)

Returning Citizens: Barriers and Opportunities

Over the past four years, TBE has nurtured many individuals through the Partakers College Behind Bars and Partakers Empowerment Program (PEP), bearing witness to the overwhelming barriers that these returning citizens face. With our GBIO partner, TBE is also deeply engaged in advocacy efforts to eliminate these obstacles and enhance the successful return of formerly incarcerated people.

Join us for a presentation on Returning Citizens: Barriers and Opportunities. Distinguished panelists include representatives from GBIO, Boston City Council, Harvard Law School, Justice for Housing, and the Partakers/PEP program. Learn what we can do collectively to ameliorate these odious obstructions and ease the returning citizens’ entry into our communities. Our evening will conclude with a tribute to Rabbi Philip Sherman whose passion and commitment to racial justice helped launch the RJI in 2016. We will honor his leadership and contributions to the Racial Justice Initiative as we close this final RJI meeting of the year.
