RJI Quarterly Meeting: Aftershock, Health Disparities, and Black Maternal Mortality (Online)

Focused on Health Disparities and Black Maternal Mortality featuring Dr. Neel Shah and the HULU award-winning documentary, Aftershock

The United States has the grim distinction of the highest maternal death rate amongst developed nations with Black women dying of pregnancy complications at three to four times the rate of White women. Dr. Neel Shah, OB/GYN at BIDMC and Professor at Harvard Medical School will discuss this epidemic of mortality among Black women, including video clips from Aftershock, the award-winning documentary from Onyx Collective and ABE News.
