New Parent Support Group (In Person)

Parents of children ages 0–12 months are invited to join our New Parent Support Group facilitated by our very own Katie Kaufman, LICSW. Bring your little one and find support and community to parents struggling with the immense challenges that come with having young children. You’ll leave with tools to get through the day, and a support network you can rely on in difficult moments.

About Katie Kaufman
Katie Kaufman is a licensed clinical social worker who lives with her husband, and two, daughters Aria and Zoey, in Natick. She attended undergrad at Indiana University and received her masters at the University of Denver. In Americorps, she was part of a team living and working with families whose communities were greatly impacted by Hurricane Katrina. After graduate school, Katie honed her skills as a clinician, gaining experience working in the fields of substance abuse and child welfare. She has provided therapy to adolescents in both a hospital setting and as a middle school therapist.

In her own private practice, Katie currently typically works with young adults dealing with depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder and relationship challenges. When her daughter Aria was about 6 months old, Katie began running weekly caregiver and baby support groups out of her living room. This allowed her to not only snuggle babies frequently but also to provide support and community to parents struggling with the immense challenges that come with having young children.

Katie and her family spend summers working at Camp Somerset in Maine where she is the camp therapist and her children run wild and eat too much sugar (but no bacon, of course).  She is excited to be a new member of the TBE community!

Class Dates: March 12, 19, 26, April 2
