Mother’s Day Walk for Peace (In Person)

Make a difference this Mother’s Day: Join/Support the TBE team at the 27th annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace, benefitting the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute in Boston, on May 14, 2023. The Louis D. Brown Peace Institute–founded and led by Chaplain Clementina (Tina) Chery, who spoke at TBE several years ago—is a center of healing, teaching and learning for families and communities impacted by murder, grief, trauma and loss. Initiated in 1996, the Mother’s Day Walk continues to be a powerful way to honor those who have been murdered and embrace our partners in peacemaking. It is also the Peace Institute’s most important fundraising event.

Join/support the TBE team by donating, fundraising and/or walking, whether on your own or with others. Visit our TBE team page, which lists team members.  There you can donate to an individual member or to the team as a whole. You can also register there at the “Join Our Team” link just under the donate section.

This event is sponsored by the Racial Justice Initiative and TBE Congregants to Prevent Gun Violence (TBEPGV).
TBE’s Racial Justice Initiative works to increase our understanding and activism to address ongoing discrimination and inequality.
Since 2012, TBEPGV has aimed to reduce the scourge of gun violence in our community and our country – whether caused by crime, accident, or suicide.  Acting from our values, we join together with a growing movement of faith-based and community groups to influence state and national legislation, to educate ourselves and others, and to support innovative efforts to reduce gun violence.
