About Liam
Hello Temple Beth Elohim! My name is Liam Schweiger and I am a seventh grader at Kennedy Middle School in Natick. I enjoy playing sports with my friends, especially football. I am on Mass Elite, which is a club team and last year we earned the opportunity to go to Naples, Florida and play in the biggest youth football tournament there is. I am hoping for a repeat this year.
I am also a part of the 7th grade Natick football team; we have won the Super Bowl the past 2 years. My goal for the future is to play college football, and hopefully take it further than that. I am also a lacrosse goalie and love to play baseball and basketball. I also like to go fishing with my friends and family and enjoy listening to music. My favorite artists are Drake and J Cole. I am a self declared sneakerhead and also enjoy fashion and sports hats.
I have lived in Natick my whole life. I live with my parents Michelle and Jason and younger siblings Ethan who is 10 and Lacey who is 4.5! I spend my summers In Amesbury, at Camp Bauercrest, my home away from home and am counting down the days until I return to the Hillside for my 4th summer. Although I hate waking up early and going to school, I love it once I’m there. I have great teachers, enjoy my classes and being with my friends all day. This year, I was selected to be part of my school’s leadership team and will be volunteering at a local food pantry throughout the school year.
For my mitzvah project, I am raising money to support my Jewish homeland of Israel and hope there is peace soon so I can go visit someday. Becoming a bar mitzvah is very important to me and is a way to show how proud I am to be Jewish, which I think is even more important these days. I am so excited to celebrate this milestone with my family. I’m excited to be able to share my Jewish culture and heritage with my friends. To me, becoming a bar mitzvah means getting greater responsibilities as I become an adult in Judaism.
