- 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM
Our Mincha Ma’ariv service includes the celebration of the B’ Mitzvah of Talia Wilk. Please take note: This service is being held remotely and will be a private family service.
Shalom TBE Community. My name is Talia Wilk. I am in 7th grade at Beaver Country Day School. Some of my favorite subjects are English and History because I love reading and writing. I live in Newton with my mom, dad, sister Hannah (14), and dog Bash (1). I love to play lacrosse and field hockey and I also like to sing, dance, and ski.
My Mitzvah project is making backpacks with school supplies inside of them for pre-school children who are graduating from a program called Healthy Families at Jewish Family and Children’s Services. The program offers assistance to teen parents who need help raising their children.
To me becoming a Bat Mitzvah means becoming a Jewish adult and having more responsibilities. One of those big responsibilities is preparing for my Bat Mitzvah because it takes a lot of time and practice, but it all pays off in the end. I am excited about my Bat Mitzvah because I get to show everyone what I have been practicing and become a part of a community.
