Jewish Current Events & Community Chanukah Candle Lighting (Hybrid)

We begin the evening together lighting the Chanukah candles in community. View the Chanukah Blessings. Following candle lighting, join us for a conversation about Jewish current events.

Discuss major monthly stories from the Jewish world with Rabbi Sisenwine, based upon articles from the Forward, America’s Jewish newspaper since 1897. The first session, October 16th, will feature a conversation with Jodi Rudoren, Editor in Chief of the Forward; sessions that follow will focus on a new story each month. This year-long class is offered on alternate weeks from Engaging in Civil Discourse Guided by Jewish Wisdom; choose just one class or come to both for a multidimensional approach to the topic of how we engage in the world as Jews.
