The High Holy Days have a significant place in the poetry of Israeli poets. Some referred to the High Holy Days and the Days of Awe from a nostalgic childhood memory and some from an immediate spiritual experience or an in-depth insight into the essence of these days.

Other poets expressed the great gap between the traditional parental home, its customs and melodies, and among them, a generation that turned its back on the ancestral tradition. This workshop will explore Israeli poetry connected to the themes of the season.

Knowledge of Hebrew is a plus but not necessary to attend the workshop.
