An Evening To Remember 2025

Please join us as we celebrate the TBE community by honoring Alison Kur, Executive Director of Jewish Living and Learning, and thanking Rabbi Vanessa Harper and Cantor Josh Rosenberg their contributions to our temple. The evening will include a cocktail hour, seated dinner, program, silent auction, and dancing.

“We are better in community than we are alone” —Alison Kur

As we honor Alison Kur, we are truly celebrating the Temple Beth Elohim community that she has nurtured since 2003. Having left a career in the law in favor of focusing her warmth, intelligence and vision on the Jewish community, she has quietly impacted multiple generations of TBE members, bringing vision and innovation to our learning programs.

To Alison, “learning is like water. We need it to survive.” She brings her love of Torah to TBE congregants of all ages: the education at TBE connects us to Jewish wisdom and tradition and helps us build relationships that encourage lifelong engagement in the life of our sacred community. Alison’s commitment to collaboration is evident through the many classes she has taught, teachers she has mentored, and students she has inspired.

Among other honors, Alison has received the Covenant Foundation Award for excellence and innovation in Jewish education, and was chosen to participate in the Wexner Heritage Leadership Program. A talented artist and musician, she has three adult children, Abi, Jem, and Zach, all of whom are proud TBE members.
