The TBE Blog

TBE Congregants for Reproductive Justice is thrilled to share the success of our second annual collection and assembly of post-abortion care kits, a project we call Chavilot Tipol. Thanks to the generous contributions of the TBE community, we were able to donate 150 kits to our partner clinic, Health Q Lawrence. These kits, along with those donated by other local congregations and organizations (Temple Shalom, Hadassah, Repair the World), provide comfort and support to patients who have received abortion care at Health Q Lawrence.

It was a true joy to collaborate with several Challah Back Girls (CBG) groups in assembling these care kits. The girls inspired us with their energy and passion for the project, putting the packages together with enthusiasm and dedicating the majority of their meeting time writing meaningful messages on cards to be included in the kits.

The impact of this project is best described in their own words: “This experience has been a privilege to be part of because it is giving me an opportunity to contribute to an important cause- one that helps so many and that I feel so strongly about,” said one participant.

Another girl added: “I think the hand-written notes were especially important because they provide an empathetic human connection to this project.”

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves! Thank you again to CBGs and to the entire TBE community for your help with this project. We look forward to doing it again next year.
