Simchat Torah Storytime (In Person)

  • Thursday, October 24, 2024
  • 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM
  • Join us in person
  • Program Leader: Elizabeth Suneby

Come sing and dance with the Torah on the holiday of Simchat Torah! Then, stay for a storytime and craft activity with Liz Suneby, TBE congregant and local children’s book author! She’ll teach us what the word “mitzvah” means using one of her classic PJ Library selections: That’s a mitzvah!

Elizabeth Suneby, a Temple Beth Elohim member, is an award-winning children’s book author and writer of magazine articles, websites, and the full array of digital and print communications for organizations. Liz is honored to have been chosen by PJ Library as part of a cohort of authors and illustrators PJ hosted in Israel, and she has two books coming from PJ Publishing.

Liz’s current Jewish-themed books include a mitzvah series with a rhyming board book (That’s A Mitzvah!), a fun picture book featuring “Mitzvah Meerkat”  (It’s a… It’s a… It’s a Mitzvah) and a nonfiction book for preteens and teens (The Mitzvah Project Book) that helps kids shape mitzvah projects that are meaningful and enjoyable.

Order her books online from Wellesley Books (or Amazon, …) and bring them along on October 24 to have Liz sign them!
