The Sheffield Chamber Players and singing group Pa’amonim will present a music program with donations to benefit Brothers and Sisters for Israel, the largest aid organization in Israel.
With gratitude to Sheldon and Dorothea Buckler for underwriting this concert. Thanks to their generosity 100% of your donation will support Brothers and Sisters for Israel. We also share our appreciation to both performing groups for giving their time and talent to support this important cause.
Currently, there are over 200,000 internally displaced refugees within Israel having no homes. Brothers and Sisters for Israel is helping these refugee families with a place to sleep, medical supplies, clothing and food, as well as providing psychological support for children and adults who have experienced trauma. 100% of funds raised for the organization are used for such essential services. It is the largest aid organization in Israel with an all civilian volunteer base.
The Sheffield Chamber Players performed at TBE previously to assist the TBE Immigration Justice Group resettle Ukrainian refugees fleeing from the war with Russia. They will present Shostokovich’s Fourth String Quartet and several other shorter pieces. The Players was founded in 2014 on the belief that chamber music is a powerful tool for connecting with one another and ourselves and frequently provide their diverse repertoire at intimate home concerts where smaller groups can connect over a shared artistic experience.
Pa’amonim (the Hebrew word for “Bells”) is an Israeli Choral Ensemble based in Greater Boston. The group sings popular Israeli songs at venues throughout the Boston area under its Music Director, Gitit Shoval, who was first discovered at the pre-Eurovision contest of 1979 when just 13 years of age. Pa’amonim will present several Hebrew language pieces and like the Sheffield Chamber Players is donating its members time and talent in order to assist Israelis internally displaced due to the war.
Suggested donation: $36/adult, $18/student
