Each week my family gathers for a zoom call…sometimes my parents, my sisters, their grown children, even my new grand nephew. I stay in close touch by phone or text or e mail with my ALI cohort from Harvard and I am in a True North Group with them. I try to support my colleagues at Abry and lend a helping ear to my dearest friends. I have worked hard to help Cornell leadership grapple with issues surrounding reopening its college campus and helped lead a campaign to address the greater financial need of our student body. I connected the National Student Response Network to BMC and Cradles to Crayons and I supported Harvard’s Carr Center work on the redefinition of human rights and responsibilities. I continue to push forward my musical that will tackle the story of coming of age undocumented in America.
