What has been my story? My Mom died of Covid-19 in the height of the pandemic and the traditional rituals of death and mourning could not be relied on and that felt jarring.
What brought me joy? Joy comes from watching carefully and with great pride as my children maneuvered gracefully during the challenges of keeping busy households productive and safe.
Where have I faced challenges? My challenges were few once I decided that this was to be a time of “other-directedness.” Every day I reach out to as many others as I can in ways that are appropriate and send them a strong message of…I care about you! That, in turn, brought me much joy!
