Learn about the Community Torah Project, how all Torah scrolls are created, and then, working with a chevruta (partner), complete the essential step of proofreading scribed parchment sheets that will become part of this unique Torah scroll.
Enjoy wine and cheese, good conversation, and the opening of TBE’s inaugural Omer Art Gallery, featuring the creations of artists and crafters in our own community who have connected to the practice of counting the Omer by creating works of art day-by-day.
Welcome Shavuot in community as we celebrate the festival of Matan Torah (receiving the Torah), as well as the siyyum (conclusion) of our adult learning year with a joyful service.
Between our Erev Shavuot service and our final program of the Bread and Torah weekend, enjoy an informal dairy dinner (traditional for the holiday) and a chance to connect with community.
Rabbi Motzkin will bring several pieces with her that she will present and discuss. Following the program, enjoy dessert and a last chat with our scholars-in-residence for the weekend.
