We enter our building as individuals or families from many different places, with many different experiences and perspectives. The floor tiles suggest this coming together of individuals through subtle changes in tone. If you stand on the second floor balcony overlooking the atrium, you will see randomly placed tan rectangular tiles that converge at the threshold of the sanctuary. The placement of the tiles on the floor creates subtle and suggested movement toward the sanctuary, gently preparing us to be open to the possibilities that can be experienced in sacred community.
