The covered walkway to the main entrance comes from similar spaces found in multiple locations in Israel. One model for our entryway is Hebrew Union College’s campus in Jerusalem, where many of our clergy began their learning. Our trellis is also inspired by the architecture of the Supreme Court in Israel.

One aspiration for our experiences as we enter our makom is that, as we walk under the trellis and look out into the courtyard and the Jerusalem stone walls that surround it, the layout of our makom replicates the feeling of an embrace.
