Join us to hear from Anti-Defamation League Regional Director Robert Trestan to learn about the increase in Anti-Semitism and how the ADL is working locally and nationally to combat it.
Robert Trestan is responsible for overseeing ADL’s program delivery, community relations, and advocacy initiatives across the region. As a civil rights leader and attorney for more than 25 years, he has prioritized developing community partnerships and initiatives that advocate for justice, equity and fair treatment for everyone. Robert has consulted and provided expertise on hate crimes to civil society groups in several countries and is part of an international team that provides hate crime training to police and prosecutors across Europe. He currently serves on the Massachusetts Hate Crimes Task Force, advising Governor Baker on ways to combat hate crimes in the Commonwealth.

Join us for Shabbat dinner followed by a concert. Brazilian pianist Victor Cayres performs The Piano World of Villa Lobos: A Piano Recital in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Villa Lobos’ death. The music of Villa Lobos has become a postcard of Brazilian culture, nature, and vibrant diversity. Victor Cayres embarks on a pianistic journey through the most ingenious piano works inspired by folklore, nursery rhymes, dances, and the vastness of Brazilian land. The program will also feature one of Villa Lobos' most iconic works, the Bachianas Brasileiras no. 4, inspired by the music of J.S. Bach.
