TBElle: The Biggest of the Big Bands: The Swing Era

The Swing Era / Big Band Era was the period (1933–1947). Big Band swing music was the most popular music in the United States. Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Glen Miller, Stan Kenton, Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw, Harry James, Gene Krupa, Lionel Hampton, Count Basie… ever hear of them? How about the unknown singers that got their teenage starts with most of them? Sinatra, Clooney, Day, Damone, Hibler, Lee, O’Connell…. In the Mood, Little Brown Jug, Pennsylvania 6-5000, Sing, Sing Sing, Sentimental Journey, Moonlight Serenade. If ONE word of this “rings a bell,” this course is for you!

Fall 2019 TBElle with a TWIST!
We’re kicking off our sixth year with a TWIST! We are still offering four classes, but they will run sequentially. You can participate in all four classes on TBElle Tuesdays, or just one or two or three. Please sign up for the classes you plan to attend so we are able to comfortably accommodate you, and teachers will be able to get in touch with you if needed. We hope you will enjoy this unique TWIST on TBElle this fall.
