Sock Drive

  • Wednesday, April 7 - Tuesday, April 20
  • All Day Event
From Yael Blumenfeld, one of our Havayah teens:
These times are challenging for all of us, but the economic effects of the pandemic have hit the homeless community even harder. In the Greater Boston Area, homeless shelters are facing a shortage of socks, their most requested item. I am reaching out to our community in hope of helping to reduce this shortage and help the most vulnerable in our area. There will be a collection box for new socks of any size placed outside the Temple building. Once we collect enough, they will be delivered to shelters in the area through Voices Against Violence. Together, we can each pitch in small amounts to help strengthen our community. Please bring socks! I thank you all in advance for helping.

If you’d like to support the drive, you can also send new socks through Amazon shipped to:
