About Eli
Hi, TBE community. My name is Eli Wechsler. I’m 12 years old and in seventh grade at Wellesley Middle School. I live in Wellesley with my parents, Robin and Jeff, my sister, Leah, our two cats, and betta fish. I enjoy simulated racing and drifting, and playing basketball. I’m a second-degree brown belt in karate as well. This year, I volunteered with Volunteer Ventures through the Desk-Mates activity where I built a wooden desk for someone who needed it. I have also been designing sneakers online through Gotta Have Soul, an organization which donates shoes for homeless people who get a print-out of the design. My family made several donations, including to Gamers Outreach, a charity that empowers hospitalized children through video games. Becoming a Bar Mitzvah to me means getting to celebrate with family and friends after I’ve done a lot of work. I look forward to hopefully traveling to Israel one day.
