About William
Hello Temple Beth Elohim. My name is William Grace. I live in Wellesley with my parents, Rachael and Dan, and my 11-year-old brother, Peter. We love to read books, watch movies, and play games together, so we have a lot of fun even while we have had to stay home more during the pandemic. Skiing and ski racing are my favorite sports. I race for the Wachusett and Nashoba teams. My favorite mountain is Sugarloaf, in Maine. My favorite trails there are probably Gondola Line, White Nitro, and their snowfield extensions. I am in seventh grade and go to school at Meadowbrook, in Weston. It’s hard to pick a favorite subject, but I love to read and write, learn about history and different places in the world, and do science experiments. I have been going to Camp Micah in Maine since I was ten and have been looking forward to going back all year!
As a Bar Mitzvah, I am excited to spend this important day with people that I love from all different parts of my life, and I look forward to continuing to be a part of the Jewish community. Last year, I participated in the Best Buddies program for individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. I enjoyed building a friendship with my buddy, talking, and playing games over zoom. This fall, I also had a lot of fun being a buddy in the Miracle League, which provides an opportunity for children with disabilities to play baseball, another sport that I love to play. I believe in the importance of making sports accessible to everyone, because playing sports is one of the best ways to have fun, get exercise, and meet people.
