The Refounding of the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization: Allyship in Action with TBE Online

  • Wednesday, March 10
  • 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
  • Register
  • Program Leader: Sheri Kassirer

Please join us as the Co-Chairs of our partner, the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization, discuss with us the organization’s audacious effort to re-organize from the ground up to include more people of color. Rev. Burns Stanfield, pastor of Fourth Presbyterian Church in South Boston, and Beverly Williams, a retired educator and member of Bethel AME, Jamaica Plain, will be our guests for this exciting event, along with Fran Godine, a key member of the Strategy Committee and a member of Temple Israel. In 2019 GBIO’s member institutions voted unanimously to REFOUND GBIO in order to attract 10-20 new institutions into GBIO reflecting the diversity of Boston which would represent the interests of the new collective. The special diversity and power of GBIO is precisely why TBE’s RJI has been so deeply invested in it.

About RJI
