Getting Along in a Time of Conflict with TBE Online
- Monday, June 1
- 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- Program Leader: Dr. Maureen Walker
This event is being hosted by TBE’s Racial Justice Initiative and is open to all. You do not need to be affiliated with RJI to learn with Dr. Walker.
Dr. Maureen Walker will join us to discuss her recent book When Getting Along is Not Enough: Reconstructing Race in Our Lives and Relationships. Dr. Walker is a licensed psychologist, speaker, and educator — and friend and colleague of temple member Ronni Michaelson. Dr. Walker has extensive experience counseling students at Harvard Business School while maintaining her private clinical practice. She currently teaches at the International Center for Growth in Connection focusing on relational-cultural theory.
Ronni Michaelson and Dr. Walker share a passion for the work of the Jean Baker Miller Training Institute and is reflected in her personal mission statement: “My life-long mission is to help people live an authentic life – one with purpose, truth, connection, and the courage to create the fullest expression of who they are and who they can be.”
